CoLibri Trouble Shooting Tips
CoLibri Trouble Shooting Tips
1. CoLibri Book Cover not sealing and cutting all the way across
- Make sure that pressure on the handles is equal and firm. Try one cover with very light pressure and then increase the pressure with each cut to find the pressure that works for you. Each user will define “Firm” differently.
- Try a different working surface. Make sure that the surface is flat with no bowing or undulations. Also make sure that the surface is stable if the legs allow the table to wobble, this can cause problems. Do not use the system on folding or “card” tables.
- Make sure that when you depress the handles, no paper or other materials from the book or document are underneath the welding bar.
- Make sure that the machine and covers are stored at room temperature. If covers are too cold this can cause problems with the sealing and cutting.
- Tighten the two socket head screws (with the allen key provided with the machine) that hold the alignment table to the machine.
2. CoLibri Book Covers are getting caught in the rollers
- Make sure to clean out the space directly behind the machine frequently. If the excess pieces of cover are left there, they can/will get caught in the rollers.
- Keep the covers stored at room temperature.
- Make sure that the two screws that hold the silver back plate on the machine are tightened completely. If necessary apply some thread locking adhesive to the screws. Unplug the machine and place it upside down on the work surface to tighten the screws.
3. CoLibri Book Cover is sealed but not cut when the cycle is “Finished”
- Cover does not have enough excess to reach the rollers that remove it during the cutting process. Use the next size cover and try again.
- Check to make sure rollers are touching during the cutting cycle. If they aren’t call 1300 654 738 for instructions.
